Holding one first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of pressure on them to get the pick right at No. 17 overall. Over the past two drafts, the Raiders have held five first-round picks, and to this point, only Josh Jacobs has proven he can be a reliable player at the NFL level.

As we start to ramp up towards next month’s first round, we are starting to get a look at Pro Days, and the virtual Scouting Combine. General manager Mike Mayock has done well with later-round picks since taking over in the 2019 offseason, but the first round is still up for debate.

Raiders fans should have their eyes on these Pro Days

Here is the list of Pro Days as the schedule ramps up next week, and some notables are listed below:

  • March 11, Clemson: We know how much Mike Mayock loved his Clemson players and you can be sure the Raiders will be all over this Pro Day. Trevor Lawrence has already worked out, but he was not in play for Las Vegas, but there is a ton of talent coming out of Clemson this season that the Raiders should have their eyes on.
  • March 23 and 30, Alabama: Another big-time program that Mayock has targeted every season as general manager, the Crimson Tide will have their Pro Day on March 23. Alabama will have multiple first-round selections in 2021, and in many mock drafts, the Raiders are a suitor, selecting the likes of Christian Barmore and DeVonta Smith to name a few
  • March 31, Notre Dame: The Raiders have been linked to many defensive players during this mock draft season, but none more than Notre Dame star Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. This is a very versatile linebacker, displaying the ability to play sideline-to-sideline, and would be a perfect fit in the Silver and Black.

Next. Las Vegas Raiders: One draft prospect to target from each top-25 program. dark

Draft season is one of the more exciting times of the offseason, and between the Pro Days, and this year’s virtual combine, we are going to see what these prospects are made of. Every year, players come out of nowhere during the draft cycle, and for the Raiders, who hold only one first-round pick, they cannot afford to miss at pick No. 17 overall this April.
