Las Vegas Raiders: One draft prospect to target from each top-25 program

player. 813. . WR. Hoosiers . Whop Philyor. 12

You can never have enough playmakers, and Whop Philyor was exactly that for the Indiana Hoosier from the moment he stepped on campus. With 180 career catches, Philyor is a reliable target in the slot who displays the kind of toughness that Jon Gruden would certainly love.

He doesn’t have a very advanced route tree or at least wasn’t asked to run one at Indiana, but he is a guy who, if you get him the ball he can make things happen after the catch, and he has the ability to win vertically on seam routes. Philyor is a slot-only type of player given his size (5’11, 180lbs) but has the ability to be a nice third or fourth option if things work out well.

The Raiders do have Hunter Renfrow, and it seems like Henry Ruggs will do his best work in the slot, but having a capable back to them won’t hurt. Though, given the other needs on this team, I can’t imagine the Raiders going after someone like Philyor until mid-to-late Day 3.
