Las Vegas Raiders: One draft prospect to target from each top-25 program
With the team releasing Gabe Jackson, there is a spot open at right guard, so the Raiders could choose to address it in the draft. Wyatt Davis could be a plug-in-play guy from day one, and with his stock slipping a bit from an injury-filled 2020 season, he could be available for the Raiders in round 2.
Davis is a well-rounded prospect that possesses a blend of power and movement skills that could work in any scheme. He rarely lost in pass protection during his three years with the Buckeyes, only allowing 4 sacks totaling 865 pass-blocking snaps. That is big-time production at a big-time program which we know Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock pay close attention to.
The Raiders certainly need to address their defense during this draft, but if they can get a great prospect like Davis, who projects to be a long-time starter, that will be a valuable addition. On Friday, they also released Richie Incognito, getting rid of both of their starters from Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season at the guard spots, so a guard is definitely in play.
