According to 247 Sports, Georgia is the number one school in the country’s talent composite rankings. So Kirby Smart has been able to acquire a ton of talent, and though development hasn’t always been the best, you know, if you’re targeting a Georgia player, he likely has a ton of physical talent.

Tyson Campbell is one of those physically gifted players who has all the tools to be elite but needs the polish to maximize it. Campbell came out of high school as a five-star recruit and was a teammate of Alabama’s Patrick Surtain at American Heritage School in Florida, where they dominated the competition.

In his three years at Georgia, Campbell saw the field early and displayed impressive movement skills for a cornerback his size (6’2, 185lbs).

A player with his tools and fluidness should be in the first-round conversations, but keeping him lower on boards is his inconsistent play and lack of ball skills. However, for Las Vegas, he is worth consideration because his physical profile seems to fit perfectly with a Gus Bradley scheme.

Until the Raiders show dramatic signs of improvement in the secondary, they need to keep investing day one or two picks on the position. As it stands, Campbell is a Day 2 prospect, but opinions vary on how early or late he should be drafted.
