Las Vegas Raiders: AFC West free agents to ‘steal’

Chiefs linebacker Damien Wilson would be a welcome addition
In 2020, the Las Vegas Raiders addressed the linebacker position in free agency and signed Nick Kwiatkoski and Cory Littleton. Kwiatkoski thrived while playing through injury, while Littleton showed signs of growing pains in his first year in former defensive coordinator Paul Guenther’s system.
However, after Guenther’s departure late in the season, Littleton showed a vast improvement in his play, which could be attributed to the simplified approach to the game that Rod Marinelli took. As the Raiders may possibly lose their most tenured, and most productive linebacker this offseason, as Nicholas Morrow tests free agency, they may need to look elsewhere to fill the void.
Damien Wilson of the Chiefs is a free agent linebacker entering his sixth NFL season, and he is coming off of his two most productive seasons in Kansas City. During that time, he accumulated 95 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and six tackles for loss. Wilson missed three games in 2020 due to a knee injury, which is now fully recovered, and could be a target to reunite with his former defensive coordinator (now defensive line coach) Rod Marinelli in Las Vegas.
