Defensive tackle continues to be a weak spot for the Raiders

Defensive Tackle. Buckeyes . Tommy Togiai. 80. player. 812.

The struggle to create a pass rush is highlighted repeatedly, but the Raiders didn’t do much against the run either. They need to be more physical at the line of scrimmage, and Tommy Togiai brings that in droves.

An incredible power player, Togiai had to wait his turn at Ohio State but made the most of it in his one year as a starter. A dominant presence both as a run stuffer and pocket pusher, Togiai may have raised his stock even more, when he didn’t play.

The Buckeye’s defense was pushed around in the interior without him in the National Championship.

The Raiders would be adding serious strength in the middle of their defense, and Togiai’s presence could open up things is teammates. When left one on one, he can overpower his opponent even without having ideal arm length, and to put him with Jonathan Hankins and Maurice Hurst would finally give Las Vegas some depth at defensive tackle.
