Las Vegas Raiders late-round QB targets

Kellen Mond, Texas A&M

I personally compare Kellen Mond a lot to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who just got paid a massive contact, earning $43 million a year with $70 + million coming in year one.   Like Prescott, Mond has had questions about his accuracy the first couple of years of his career, yet his completion percentage has improved every season with the Texas A&M Aggies.

He just led the Aggies to one of the best seasons of their program history, and narrowly missed the College Football Playoff this year, and he performed his best against the best competition.  In games against eventual National Champion Alabama and SEC rival Florida, Mond threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in each contest.

He has not only improved his passing each season but is also just as dangerous, if not more on the run.

Mond has passed for 9,661 yards in his four-year career, and he has also rushed for 1,608 total yards, joining an elite club of college quarterbacks that includes names like Tim Tebow, and of course Prescott.  He is a player that I would feel good about if the Raiders draft him, and down the road, he could be a legitimate successor to Carr.
