Could the Las Vegas Raiders be rebuilding again heading into 2021?

The Las Vegas Raiders are shedding big-money contracts at an incredible pace this offseason, which begs the question: Are they in rebuild-mode?

When Jon Gruden came back to be the head coach of this Raiders franchise, the fan base went absolutely crazy, as the man who was at the helm the last time they were consistently good was back. After struggling through a 2018 NFL season, one that saw them trade away Khalil Mack beforehand, and Amari Cooper during, it was seen that the Raiders were in the start of a rebuild.

The trades of Mack and Cooper brought back three first-round picks collectively, and as they started to shred contracts, it appeared that better times were ahead. However, as he enters his fourth offseason at the helm, the $100 million man could be entering another rebuild.

Are the Raiders in a rebuild?

We will go into the many ways this looks like another teardown by Gruden, who has teamed with Mike Mayock to make many questionable decisions with this roster. Between missing on first-round picks, to just some awful free agent signings, this tandem has been more miss than hit, and more questions surround the team than before they got together.

Are we in a rebuild right now? Hopefully not, because if that is the case, we could be a long way away from being a perennial playoff contender.
