Las Vegas Raiders: AFC East 2021 free agents to ‘steal’

Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots

During their matchup in the 2020 NFL season, the New England Patriots dominated the Las Vegas Raiders and got help up and down their roster, On offense, the charge was led by running back Rex Burkhead, a solid option on the ground, or through the air, and someone the Raiders could definitely target in free agency.

Las Vegas is still looking for someone who can come in and backup Josh Jacobs, and while Vic Tafur from the Athletic feels Devontae Booker will be back in that role in 2021, maybe the Raiders turn the page. In Burkhead, they would be getting a player who has had a lot of success at the NFL level, and he is one of those gritty veterans that Jon Gruden loves.

Burkhead has an excellent skill set because he can run, block, catch, and even help out on special teams if needed. The Raiders are going to be looking for versatile guys who can help out in several different areas, and Burkhead is a solid, veteran weapon that can help then provide depth behind their superstar running back.
