The Las Vegas Raiders plan to be buyers in free agency, here are 4 players from the NFC East that they should be targeting.

Free agency news and updates are flying around like trades on the New York Stock Exchange and the Las Vegas Raiders have been active participants. There are still plenty of talented players out there for the Raiders to pursue, and here are four from the NFC East that could come in and make an impact right away.

Let’s jump in with a player with plenty of experience and talent.

Ryan Kerrigan could provide leadership and experience to Raiders DL

The Raiders made a big move with the addition of Yannick Ngakoue that gives them an impact pass rusher and helps their defensive line from top to bottom. Another player out there that could give them a major boost in limited opportunities is Ryan Kerrigan.

Kerrigan has spent the entirety of his ten-year career with Washington but has seen his role diminish since turning 30. Since his Pro Bowl season in 2018, his third straight and fourth overall, Kerrigan’s snaps have decreased considerably but he has still found ways to make an impact.

In 397 snaps in 2020, just 38% of the team’s defensive snaps, Kerrigan recorded 5.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, six QB hits, and 13 pressures. He is clearly not the dominant force he once was, but at 32, he still has plenty of gas in the tank if he is given a limited role.

Kerrigan has expressed that he only wants to join a team where he can be a starter but at his age he may realize that he has limited options to do so. Joining a team on the up and up like the Raiders could give him a chance to win once again in his career and mentor a young group of linebackers and defensive lineman as well.
