Free Agency: Who’s Back
The Las Vegas Raiders went into this offseason with a ton of guys hitting free agency, more than a dozen to be exact, and the hope was that some would return. We have already seen so many leave for other franchises, but here, we look at those who welcome another season under the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Nicholas Morrow, LB
The Raiders got back one of their top defensive players from a year ago, agreeing on a one-year deal with linebacker Nicholas Morrow. The deal was for $5 million, with $4.5 million guaranteed, as he cashed in on his solid 2020 campaign.
For Morrow, this enables him to hit free agency once again next offseason, when there should be a lot more money to throw around. He showed he can be a solid player at the NFL level, and being that he is only going into his age-26 season, he has a lot of good football left in the tank.
Richie Incognito, OG
Like Jackson, Richie Incognito was a starter for the Raiders at offensive guard last season, but he battled injuries throughout. While he was solid when healthy, the team had to release him due to salary cap issues, but he came back on a team-friendly deal right before the start of the new league year.
Zay Jones, WR
The Raiders will also be bringing back Zay Jones, a player who developed a nice rapport with Derek Carr this past offseason. With Jones returning, the team could be set at wide receiver entering the 2021 season, but never count out Jon Gruden to continue to look for help there.
Denzelle Good, OL
One of the key re-signings we were hoping for, Denzelle Good returns to the Silver and Black on a brand-new two-year deal. This is a guy who is so versatile up front along the offensive line, and he will slide into a starting job at offensive guard alongside Richie Incognito.
Johnathan Hankins, DT
Another key player the Raiders needed to bring back, Johnathan Hankins will return to the Raiders for another go-around, signing a one-year deal. He will team with the likes of Clelin Ferrell, Mo Hurt, and David Irving to give the Raiders a nice quad of players at defensive tackle.
