Free safety is another major position of need for the Las Vegas Raiders and there is still some major talent out there in free agency. Former LA Ram John Johnson was the supposed top target but according to reports he was out of the Raiders’ price range and has chosen to sign with an AFC rival in the Cleveland Browns.

Harris started his career as an undrafted free agent but has developed into one of the better safeties in the NFL in recent years. He became a full-time starter in 2019 and had a Pro Bowl-caliber season with six interceptions, 60 tackles, and 11 passes defended in 14 games. There was a drop-off in the 2020 season but the same could be said of the Vikings defense as a whole.

The only downside to Harris is because he came into the NFL as an older rookie, he will be turning 30 despite being in the league for just six years. He can still play at a high level for a few years of course and can be an impact addition in free agency to address a major need in the Raiders defense.
