K’Waun Williams is yet another veteran CB on the market from the NFC West

There must be something in the water in San Francisco as they have yet another solid defensive back that the Raiders can pursue in K’Waun Williams. The former undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh has been a part-time starter with the 49ers for 4 years and has been a contributing member of a solid defense.

Williams is a talented slot corner who the Raiders can put right in to the starting lineup until they feel Amik Robertson is ready for that role. The Raiders retained Nevin Lawson to play that position as well but Williams would be an upgrade despite dealing with some injuries last year.

He is just a year removed from a 2019 season where he put up 51 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, a sack, 2 interceptions, and 4 forced fumbles. The former Brown was all over the place for the Niners and their Super Bowl caliber defense and could do the same in Silver and Black.

Williams is being heavily linked with a return to San Francisco and is reportedly planning to vist the Kansas City Chiefs but if he is still looking for a team after that then the Raiders must bring him in for a visit.
