Raiders 2019 NFL Draft, Day 2

Round 2 Pick 40- Trayvon Mullen- CB

  • Next five picks- Dalton Risner, Drew Lock, Jahlani Tavai, Elgton Jenkins, Joejuan Williams

Trayvon Mullen was a bit of a surprise pick for the Raiders in round two as some other available corners were projected higher, but this is one pick that Gruden and Mayock absolutely got right. Trayvon Mullen has no doubt been the best defensive back for the Raiders since he joined the team, and he has the potential to be the team’s CB1 for a long time.

Mullen no doubt has his flaws, but with a team that generates nearly no pass rush, and defensive backs that rarely give him the help over the top that he is supposed to have, I’d say Mullen has done a great job for the Raiders so far.

Pick Grade: B+
