2021 NFL Draft: Day 2 cornerbacks the Las Vegas Raiders should target

Eric Stokes, Georgia

The 2020 second-team All-SEC cornerback is a blend of size and speed that the Raiders lack at the cornerback position. At 6’1, Eric Stokes can not only line up with bigger receivers, but the former track star has the speed to keep up with even the speediest of receivers, making him a very interesting prospect.

We never know how the draft will unfold, or even how Stokes can elevate his stock with a strong showing in his workouts, but right now, he is slated as a Day 2 pick. Stokes does lack physicality and is not much of a threat to make one-on-one tackles or stop the run, but with his size and speed, he is great in man coverage and covering the slot if needed.

As of now, if the former University of Georgia star is available on Day 2, he has to be one of the main targets for this organization. If the possibility is within the Raiders’ grasp of him donning the Silver and Black, they should be more than willing to make Stokes a Raider.
