The Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 17 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and in our first-round mock, they land a tremendous linebacker.
The 2021 NFL Draft is just a month away, and the Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 17 overall selection. The Raiders have to improve on both sides of the ball heading into 2021 and have done a nice job filling some of those holes in free agency.
With a lot of the top names in Free Agency gone, and teams making massive changes to their roster, let’s take a look at an updated first-round mock draft.
This year’s mock draft is one of the toughest I have ever had to make, but at least you can’t get the first pick of the draft wrong. The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to take Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick.
Lawrence is looked at as a generational talent, a proven winner, with the size, accuracy, and athleticism to come into the league and make an immediate impact. If the Jaguars do not take him first overall, it will be the biggest shock in NFL history.
A lot of people have the Jets taking a quarterback here but I still think the Jets have faith in Sam Darnold. There are teams in the league who I am sure reached out to the Jets for Darnold, and the fact that he is still on the team leads me to believe that they plan on him being their starter.
The Jets have improved this off-season, but they still have a lot of holes. Penei Sewell is no doubt the best offensive lineman in this class, and if the Jets don’t go quarterback here, it would be a mistake to pass on Sewell, a player who would protect their quarterback’s blindside for years to come.
Just two seasons ago, the 49ers were in the Super Bowl, but many forget how good this roster is because of all of the injuries last year. If the 49ers can stay healthy, they can return to being one of the best teams in the NFL, led by an incredible defense.
One of the few major holes on the 49ers is at the quarterback position, and if the 49ers not only want to make it back to the Super Bowl but win it, they will need to find the replacement for Jimmy G. Zach Wilson had a tremendous Pro Day and is not slipping outside of the top-5.
