2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders add elite LB in full first-round mock
Out of everyone in this class, Kyle Pitts may be my favorite. Pitts is an absolute freak of nature with his size, speed, and athletic ability at the tight end position. I imagine he will be used a lot like Darren Waller is with the Raiders, lining up outside as a wide receiver often and being a nightmare matchup for defensive backs.
There is still a chance that the Falcons end up going with a quarterback here, but if Matt Ryan can get Kyle Pitts at the tight end, a player that I believe is the safest pick in the entire draft, it changes everything on offense. Imagine dropping back to pass and choosing between Pitts and Julio Jones.
Debate who you think the top WR in the class is all you want, the Cincinnati Bengals need to surround Joe Burrow with weapons, and Ja’Marr Chase is the consensus WR1 in the class. Chase has size, great hands and athletic ability, and a red zone presence that is more NFL appropriate than Devonta Smith.
Add in the fact that he just happened to be the key wide receiver when Burrow led the LSU Tigers to a national title, and you have a perfect selection here is Penei Sewell is off the board. Cincinnati has to protect Burrow, but Chase may be too hard to pass upon.
The Miami Dolphins are trading up and down the first ten picks of the 2021 NFL Draft, sending the No. 3 pick over to the San Francisco 49ers, before trading up to the No. 6 spot in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dolphins have to do something to put talent around Tua Tagovailoa at the wideout spot, and DeVonta Smith would be a perfect fit.
Smith absolutely dominated the national championship game and did the same thing for the entire season. The Dolphins have no true WR1 on the roster, and if Smith can contribute even 75% of what he did in college, he could be a gamechanger for the Miami offense.
