2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders add elite LB in full first-round mock

OT. Los Angeles Chargers. Christian Darrisaw. 13. player. 13.

The Los Angeles Chargers are a young up-and-coming team with a bright future in quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert has a solid running back, great weapons, and a star-studded defense, waiting to be taken to the playoffs. The only way the Chargers mess this up is if they let Herbert take a lot of hits.

Priority number one for this team has to be to protect their young star quarterback, so they select tackle from Virginia Tech Christian Darrisaw to do so. This guy is an absolute mauler and would protect Herbert’s blindside for the next ten years.

Christian Barmore. 14. player. 60. . DT. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings need to address their defensive line, and most mock drafts have the Vikings going with an edge rusher here. I believe that teams will not be completely sold on the edge rushers of this draft, but one player that will gather a lot of interest is defensive tackle Christian Barmore of Alabama.

Barmore can stop the run and push the line, making him an absolute force in the middle of the defensive line. If there is one defensive tackle that will go in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Barmore is that guy.

47. . LB. New England Patriots. Micah Parsons. 15. player

If Micah Parsons falls this low, the New England Patriots would love to have him. Parsons is undoubtedly the best linebacker in this class, with freakish speed, great coverage, and solid tackling ability.

There is no doubt that the Patriots could get the best out of Parsons, but it may be unlikely that he falls this far, especially after his pro day. This is a guy who ran a faster 40-yard dash time than former Penn State star Saquon Barkley, so getting into the top-10 is certainly not out of the question.

16. player. 32. . CB. Arizona Cardinals. Jaycee Horn

With the announcement of Caleb Farley’s back surgery, his draft stock will likely take a big hit. On the other hand, I still believe a team will look at him as good enough to take midway through the first round, becoming the second cornerback off the board.

Looking at the other corners in this draft, there are a few that could land in the first, and one is Jaycee Horn from South Carolina. This kid is an outstanding cover corner and would help fix one of the few issues left on this Cardinals defense.
