2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders add elite LB in full first-round mock

Edge. Miami Dolphins. Gregory Rousseau. 18. player. 59.

Gregory Rousseau stays in Miami, as the Miami Dolphins bring in the edge rusher from the University of Miami (FL), to give them the pass rush help they need. Although Rousseau is somewhat new to the position, his athleticism, quickness, and ability to bend and get into the backfield is a huge upside.

Rousseau may need some time to develop into what Miami fans hope he can be, but he has shown the ability to be a top-tier edge rusher. This is a franchise that has a ton of picks in the upcoming drafts, as they look to build their way into being a long-time player in terms of the playoffs.

58. . QB. Washington Commanders. Trey Lance. 19. player

The Washington Football Team gets their quarterback, as Trey Lance slides to them with pick No. 19 overall. Depending on where you look, Lance could be the QB2 of this draft, or the QB5, as he has all the athletic talent an NFL GM could want and is a fast, smart quarterback with a strong arm.

Unfortunately, Lance did not get to play in a ton of games in college, and when he did, they weren’t against the best teams. Lance may need to sit a year behind someone before getting his shot, and the Washington Football Team would be a perfect place, sitting behind veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2021.

Chicago Bears. Mac Jones. 20. player. 57. . QB

So the Chicago Bears tried to get Deshaun Watson, failed, got rid of Mitchell Trubisky, and announced on Twitter that Andy Dalton is their “QB1.” What a strange, failed, trip it has been for the Bears at the position group this offseason, but they can right their wrongs by adding Mac Jones at pick No. 20.

Jones is coming off a fantastic college football season, one that saw him lead Alabama to an undefeated season and a national title, all while playing under the cloud of COVID-19. In Chicago, he could hopefully become the quarterback Trubisky never was, and this is a playoff-ready team right now.
