2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders add elite LB in full first-round mock

49. . LB. Green Bay Packers. Zaven Collins. 29. player

Once again, the Green Bay Packers skip out on drafting a wide receiver, but it did not appear that it stopped Aaron Rodgers from having one of the best seasons of his career last year. Instead, the Packers continue to work on their defense, adding Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins, a guy who can play in the box, or on the outside.

Collins has great size and athleticism for the position, with his strength being able to read plays and be a consistent tackler. Green Bay nearly made it to the Super Bowl last season, and Collins could be another piece to help them get there this season.

Buffalo Bills. Asante Samuel Jr.. 30. player. 16. . CB

The Buffalo Bills bring in the son of former NFL star Asante Samuel, Asante Samuel Jr out of Florida State to help bolster the cornerback room. Although Samuel’s size may force him to slip further into the draft, his footwork, technique, and aggressiveness will make him a solid nickel cornerback in the NFL.

Buffalo is the real deal, and they are going to be one of the best teams in the AFC next season. The issue is, the AFC East as a whole is going to be loaded, maybe outside of the Jets, so they need to continue to get better on the defensive side of the ball.

OT. Kansas City Chiefs. Teven Jenkins. 31. player. 124.

The Kansas City Chiefs made the decision to get rid of both starting offensive tackles this offseason and look to be reshuffling the deck up front for Patrick Mahomes. The problem is, without good offensive tackles in the Super Bowl, Mahomes looked pretty normal, and that has to be a cause for concern.

To make up for the loss of Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher, the Chiefs add Oklahoma State star Teven Jenkins here at No. 31. Getting him this late in round one cures of their biggest issues, as they continue to make protecting Mahomes a priority.

48. . RB. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Travis Etienne. 32. player

The reigning Super Bowl champions do not have many holes in their roster, so why not continue to make a great offense even stronger? The Bucs bring in Clemson running back Travis Etienne, a player who was a massive reason for Clemson’s success over the past couple of years, and arguably the best running back in the draft.

Tampa Bay was able to bring back all 22 starters from last year’s Super Bowl-winning squad, making them a scary proposition once again in 2021. They have Leonard Fournette coming back, but Etienne could be the future, and he certainly brings a complete package, as well as being NFL-ready to the table.
