Raiders add an elite edge rusher

Last season, the Raiders were able to muster only 21 sacks as a team, with seven of those coming from Maxx Crosby. While Clelin Ferrell improved over his rookie season, he is still not the sack master the team was hoping for when they took him No. 4 overall, and that has proved to be an issue.

In 2021, Crosby will definitely have some help coming off the edge, as the team made a huge move by bringing in Yannick Ngakoue. This is a guy who can flat out get after the quarterback, and teaming with Crosby and Ferrell at defensive end, the Raiders should have a nice rotation of players.

Ngakoue is going to be crucial for the Raiders this season as if they can get more pressure getting after the quarterback, it is going to help all three levels of this defense. This was a huge get for this franchise, who can now shift their focus elsewhere with their first-round pick in 2021, likely going after a tackle, cornerback, or safety with pick No. 17 overall.
