The Las Vegas Raiders may be targeting a cornerback on days 2-3 in the draft, here are 5 that would be available after the first round.

The Las Vegas Raiders have drafted several defensive backs in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft in recent history. Most recently they selected Damon Arnette out of Ohio State in the first round of the 2020 draft and Trayvon Mullen in the second round of the 2019 draft.

Mullen has been a solid player and has made some big plays for the Raiders but the jury is still out on Arnette after he had a difficult rookie season. Arnette had to deal with a concussion, COVID, and a lingering issue with a broken thumb that would take him out of plays or series when the pain flared up.

We can expect that the Raiders will not take another cornerback in the first round and perhaps even in the second but this is a very good class and there will be talent later in the draft. One can never have too much talent in the defensive backfield especially in this pass-happy era of the NFL and if the Raiders can find a diamond in the rough they should take that swing.

Here are a few players that could end up being late steals in the draft and could also fit the Raiders’ needs in the defensive backfield.
