2021 NFL Draft: 5 Non-first round CBs for Las Vegas Raiders to target

Paulson Adebo. 4. player. 871. . Cornerback. Cardinal

Paulson Adebo is another wildcard as the former Stanford standout was a top prospect after an incredible sophomore season in 2018 that saw him named First-Team All-Pac 12. His play dipped slightly in 2019 and he suffered an undisclosed season-ending injury after 9 games but he did well enough to earn first-team honors once again and many expected him to declare for the NFL Draft.

Adebo instead chose to come back to school for his senior season but once the Pac 12 chose to delay the season due to COVID-19, he opted out of the 2020 season. Some teams may still see Adebo as a top prospect and he certainly has all of the physical tools at 6’1″, 192lbs and he has the speed to stay with most receivers.

The former Cardinal ran an unofficial 4.42 40-yard dash at Stanford’s pro day which should allay any concerns about his top-end speed. He also has plenty of production with 69 tackles, 8 interceptions, and 27 passes defending in just 22 games.

At this point for Adebo, there are plenty of questions about whether it was 2018 or 2019 that was the outlier and but there are several positives that make him a solid prospect. He has excellent ball skills as shown by his 8 career interceptions and he has the physical profile to be a starting corner at the next level.
