2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders trade down in 7-round mock

Edge. Nittany Lions . Shaka Toney. 200. player. 806.

Shaka Toney is a well-versed pass rusher that can win on the edge, but his size makes him a designated pass rusher at the moment. However, the Raiders will be allowing a player like Yannick Ngakoue to rush from a wide-9 alignment to win on edge, so the role is there.

Toney isn’t nearly the athlete that Ngakoue, which is why he will find himself far down the draft, but a player that pressures the QB at the rate Toney did in college can undoubtedly stick on a roster.

839. . WR. Volunteers . Josh Palmer. 214. player

Playing receiver at Tennessee can be rough given the lack of capable quarterback play, and Josh Palmer experienced it firsthand. However, when he did get the ball, Palmer displayed a very nice skill set, notably when winning down the field.

His route tree seems pretty limited, but good size, speed, and the ability to track the deep ball are a good start entering the league. He also had a competitive showing at the Senior Bowl, which could boost him a bit. Again, this is another prospect whose talent is evident, but with so many receivers in this draft and a lack of production, Palmer could fall.
