2021 7-round NFL Mock Draft lands Las Vegas Raiders a right tackle

In the second round, the Raiders take a look at the defensive side of the ball, adding safety Richie Grant from UCF. This is a kid who has exactly what this Raiders defensive backfield is missing, and would be an excellent fit alongside Johnathan Abram for the 2021 season and beyond.

The Raiders have done a nice job adding talent along the defensive line, and the linebacker group should be much-improved under Gus Bradley. The problem is, they have completely neglected the secondary so far in free agency, which tells me they plan on adding players early in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In Grant, the Raiders would get getting a player who could end up being a turnover machine at the next level. He is elite at tracking the ball, has incredible range, and would be the kind of free safety that this franchise is lacking right now. Getting him at No. 48 would be an excellent selection for Mike Mayock.
