The Las Vegas Raiders hold two fifth-round picks in 2021, and with both of them, they address the defensive line. This offseason, the Raiders made a big splash by adding Yannick Ngakoue via free agency, a player who is going to not only put up sack numbers for the Raiders but also help in the continued development of Maxx Crosby.

Clelin Ferrell had a solid 2020 season, but he still has not proven that he can be consistent in terms of getting after the passer. Throughout his career at Penn State, Shaka Toney showed he could do just that, racking up 20 sacks during his career, and will leave the Nittany Lions as one of the more NFL-ready edge rushers in this draft class.

The Raiders have made a concerted effort to get better up front along the defensive line, and Toney is another guy they could bring in for certain packages to get in the quarterback’s face. This is a role that Arden Key was supposed to play, and even Carl Nassib in free agency last year, but Toney could be the one who can actually get the job done.
