Las Vegas Raiders: Games that should be in primetime in 2021

Los Angeles Chargers – Home or Away

Speaking of high-scoring games that came down to the wire, both games between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders literally came down to the last play of the game. In the November win, Raiders CB Isaiah Johnson was able to force an incompletion in the endzone as time expired to preserve a 31-26 victory for Las Vegas.

In the rubber match on Thursday Night Football, Chargers QB Justin Herbert just barely broke the plane on a QB sneak-in overtime to give LA a 30-27 victory. Just like the games against Kansas City, there were plenty of points scored by both teams and the level of excitement in both games was incredible as they were decided dramatically.

The Chargers also have a young player in Justin Herbert that many have penciled in as one of the next great quarterbacks in the AFC, and what better way to display than have him face off against a historic rival in the Raiders. The two teams have faced off 123 times in their long and storied history with the Raiders winning 66 of those matchups so far.

The rivalry has swung back and forth with the Raiders winning three of the last four and the Chargers winning the previous four in 2017 and 2018. With both teams featuring explosive offenses lead by talented QBs we can expect even more drama in 2021.
