Las Vegas Raiders: Games that should be in primetime in 2021

Miami Dolphins at Home

The Raiders matchup with the Miami Dolphins in 2020 was one of the most exciting and heartbreaking games of the season for Raider Nation. There were a few heartbreaking losses over the course of the season to Kansas City and Los Angeles but the absurdity of the loss to Miami in Week 16 takes the cake.

With the wounds still fresh, there is no reason to go over what transpired in that wild night but the Raiders and Dolphins are two teams with plenty of history and we usually get fireworks when they meet. The last three matchups were all one-score games with the 2020 edition providing one of the most incredible and unbelievable endings to a football game that many fans have ever seen.

Miami has an up-and-coming QB in Tua Tagovailoa with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball as they look to challenge the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots for AFC East supremacy. This is an old-school AFL matchup that usually makes for great TV and the 2021 edition should be no different.

The rivalry dates back to the heyday of the AFL back in the 1960s and the two teams have faced each other 40 times, including 4 times in the playoffs, with the Raiders leading the series with a record of 20-19-1. The two teams seem to play each other every year and have done so 7 times since 2010 with the Raiders winning just once over that span.

Another matchup under the bright lights should give the Raiders a chance to return to their dominance over their old-school rival.
