Las Vegas Raiders: Games that should be in primetime in 2021
Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium – Arlington, TX
The Dallas Cowboys had a nightmare season in 2020 after losing QB Dak Prescott for much of the season and even backup QB Andy Dalton for a stretch as well. Dallas finished outside of the playoff picture in an atrocious NFC East but they have re-upped and reloaded to make a serious run in 2021.
The Cowboys had one of the most explosive offenses before Prescott’s injury and the young QB was on pace to throw for 6,000 yards before he was lost for the season. They have focused on building up their defense this offseason, much like Las Vegas, and both teams are poised to break their playoff droughts in 2021.
Aside from the current teams being good and exciting, they are two of the prestige franchises in each conference with quite literally millions of fans across the world. The Cowboys are “America’s Team” who draw big crowds wherever they go and the Raiders are not far behind in terms of out-of-town support.
These two franchises have only faced off 12 times in their storied histories with the series tied at six wins apiece. Three of their last meetings dating back to 2009 have been either on Sunday Night Football or in the NFL’s Thanksgiving showcase and we should expect the same when the two teams meet in 2021.
