Las Vegas Raiders: 3 positions to avoid in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft

Running Back

Two years ago, the then-Oakland Raiders made Alabama running back Josh Jacobs a first round pick, and he has certainly been worth it through his first two seasons. Sure, there have been some injuries, but this is a kid who has put together back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, and he is fresh off his first Pro Bowl selection.

This offseason, the Raiders brought in a quality backup for Jacobs in Kenyan Drake, a guy who is going to play a big role in this offense. In the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, even if Najee Harris is still available, the Raiders need to pass on the running back position group, as it is one of the areas I believe they are solid heading into the draft.

Jacobs is going to be the main back in 2021, and Drake is going to be a guy that gets a lot of playing time, while the team also still has Jalen Richard on the roster. Overall, this is a strength for the team, and there is no way they select a running back in the first round twice in a three-year span, especially with how good Jacobs is.
