The big addition for the Las Vegas Raiders during free agency was Yannick Ngakoue, who will bring much-needed help to the pass rush next season. Last season, Maxx Crosby had 33 percent of the Raiders sacks, racking up seven of their 21, as the franchise continues to be one of the worst in the NFL in that category.
While there is not too much first-round talent at the edge rusher spot, solid options can be brought in on Day 3, and Penn State’s Shaka Toney is one of them. This is a guy who got better every season he was in Happy Valley and comes into the NFL as one of the more experienced edge rushers in this draft class.
The Raiders do have some solid talent at defensive end heading into this season, including Ngakoue, Crosby, Clelin Ferrell, and Carl Nassib. However, Toney would be another good depth guy to bring in as a situational edge rusher, especially if they decide to part ways with Arden Key this offseason.
