Las Vegas Raiders pre-2021 NFL Draft position review: Linebacker

Nicholas Morrow

Nicholas Morrow was no doubt the best linebacker on the Raiders this past season, and is now one of the last holdovers from before the Gruden era following the trades of Center Rodney Hudson and guard Gabe Jackson.

He was also one of the two players who openly spoke upon accountability following the second straight year where the Raiders collapsed in the second half of the season. He has become a leader on this defense, and thankfully he came back into the fold this offseason.

Luckily, Morrow agreed to a one-year/$4.5 million contract to return as the athletic, coverage linebacker in Gus Bradley’s system, because we’ve all heard so much about how Bradley needs a linebacker who can cover in his scheme.

Coming out of a DIII school, and playing safety in college, he signed with the Raiders after going undrafted in 2017 and has done nothing but improve and prove that he can be a really good player in this league.

Morrow is only going to keep improving under Gus Bradley, linebackers coach Richard Smith and a hopefully improved defensive line in front of him.
