2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders all-offense 3-round mock draft

80. player. 812. . IOL. Buckeyes . Josh Myers

Speaking of offensive line depth, the Las Vegas Raiders use the 80th pick in the draft to select yet another offensive lineman in Josh Myers from Ohio State. Myers was a three-year starter at Ohio State who became the starting center his sophomore season and held on to the job for another to year after that.

The former Buckeye was named second-team All-Big Ten after his redshirt sophomore season in 2019 and was then named First Team All-Big Ten after an impressive redshirt junior campaign. Myers measured in at 6-5, 310lbs at his pro day, and put up 29 reps on the bench press but could not participate in other drills as he was recovering from foot surgery.

Myers has the big school pedigree that Quinn Meinerz is lacking and he has the experience and measurables to make it as a starting-caliber interior offensive lineman at the NFL level. Similar to the reasoning behind the Meinerz pick, the Raiders had to deal with a rash of injuries on the offensive line in 2020 and know they needed to get younger and cheaper at that position group.

Drafting another lineman in the third round provides great depth for the offense in 2021 and lays a foundation for the offensive line for years to come. These may not be the most exciting picks considering some of the other offensive talent on display but games and titles are won and lost in the trenches.
