Las Vegas Raiders: 15 best linebackers of all-time
Best linebackers in Las Vegas Raiders history: 10. Jerry Robinson
Similarly to Aaron Wallace who came in at 11th on this list, Jerry Robinson was a college All-American at UCLA. His stellar play in college earned him a first-round draft selection to the Philadelphia Eagles, whom he went to his only Super Bowl with. However, in 1985 the Raiders signed the talented linebacker and he spent the final seven seasons with the Silver and Black.
Robinson’s time with the Raiders was spent in Los Angeles, as opposed to most of players on this list, who spent their time with the Silver and Black in Oakland.
From 1985 until 1991, Robinson roamed sideline to sideline, finding involvement in most plays. To this point, Robinson finished his career with 12 interceptions and 15 fumble recoveries. Seriously, he knew how to find the ball and was a big-play machine for the Raiders defense.
Robinson appeared in 97 contests with Los Angeles, earning a starting role in 70 of them. He played alongside other legends on this list like Wallace, Jeff Barnes, Matt Millen and others.
Robinson would surely be higher on this list if he spent more of his career with the Raiders. Because most of his success came with another team, he drops down this list. But don’t let that distract you from how incredible of a career Robinson had. He was a terrific Raider and deserves to be on this ranking at No. 10.
