Las Vegas Raiders: 15 best linebackers of all-time
Best linebackers in Las Vegas Raiders history: 2. Khalil Mack
Ah yes, we finally stumble upon the sore subject that is Khalil Mack. I, along with probably every person reading this, wish that Mack was still donning the Silver and Black. Instead, he is shredding offensive lines with the Chicago Bears in the NFC.
Although Mack has become primarily known as an edge rusher, he is also technically an outside linebacker. Similar to Martin, Mack made his presence known as a threat coming off the edge.
In 64 games with the Raiders, all of which were starts, Mack recorded an absurd 40.5 sacks. He also forced nine fumbles, recovering four of them. Add in an interception that he took to the house to complete the comeback victory over the Carolina Panthers in 2016, Mack is easily a top-three defender in the NFL today.
In 2015, Mack became the first player in NFL history to earn first team All-Pro honors at two positions, both outside linebacker and defensive end. He is more than capable of playing both positions.
Many will argue that he is better as a defensive end. However, his play at linebacker was more than dominant enough to earn him a spot on this list.
Mack may not have had the longest run with the Raiders, but man, was it a good one. The fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft has become one of the premier players in the NFL. It is an absolute shame that he is no longer with the Silver and Black.
