2021 NFL Draft: Three Day 3 QBs the Las Vegas Raiders should target

3. player. 844. . QB. Razorbacks . Feleipe Franks

Feleipe Franks is one of the more intriguing quarterbacks in this class as he has a massive frame and plenty of athleticism to boot. Franks measures in a 6-6, 235lbs and recently ran a 4.59 at his pro day to show off that elite level athleticism.

The big QB started his college career at Florida and was the first true freshman to start a season opener since 1988 which is a testament to his raw talent. An ankle injury ended his Florida career as he was overtaken by fellow prospect Kyle Trask so he took his talents to Arkansas.

Arkansas went 3-7 in 2020 but Franks had a solid season, throwing for 2,107 yards and 17 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions and rushing for 642 yards and 9 touchdowns. He is a dual-threat quarterback that could be used in gadget plays and developed as a competent backup in the mold of Taysom Hill or even what we could see from Mariota this year.

Franks has improved his accuracy every year and was close to 70% last season but is considered not consistent enough with his mechanics to be a starter at the NFL level. This combination of size, athleticism, and big-time arm talent could intrigue Jon Gruden enough to have him spend a 6th or 7th round pick on the QB.
