CB. Tigers . Kary Vincent Jr.. 162. player. 817.

The Las Vegas Raiders hold two fifth-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, and in our latest 7-round mock draft, they use them both on the defensive side of the ball. With their first selection, they continue to add to the cornerback room, bringing in a talented player in Kary Vincent Jr. from LSU.

A national champion with the Tigers, Vincent was a key on two elite LSU defenses in 2018 and 2019 and decided to sit out the 2020 season due to the pandemic. Still, he is elite in coverage, is not afraid to come up and make a hit, and as a bonus, can play in the slot, or eventually move to free safety.

Jonathan Cooper. 167. player. 812. . Edge. Buckeyes

Sure, the Raiders brought in Yannick Ngakoue to help on the outside, and the hope if Ferrell will continue to develop, but this team cannot afford to pass on an edge rusher of Jonathan Cooper’s talent here. Cooper was a captain for the Buckeyes, is an incredible leader, and at the next level, will develop into a pass-rushing specialist.

Cooper is an explosive player, and in spurts, could bring some elite edge-rushing talent to this Raiders defensive line. Depth and the ability to get push is something this Raiders defensive front has been missing, and Cooper helps to bring both.
