Las Vegas Raiders: Ten 2021 NFL Draft Sleepers to know

Michael Strachan, Wide Reciever, Charleston

  • Consensus Ranking: #283

At the backend of the draft, you are just taking chances on players with traits. And a 6’5, 225-pound receiver running in the 4.5s is about as good as you can find late in the draft. Charleston’s Michael Strachan is a physical monster that simply overpowered the competition in contested catches and winning down the field.

He certainly has limitations in moving laterally, so he was mainly a vertical receiver in college, but you don’t find frames like his. Strachan seems to have the ability to track and adjust to the ball in the air while also displaying solid hands in traffic.

The massive uptick in competition is always a big concern, but he will have an excellent start with his size. And for a team like the Raiders that don’t have a ton of size in their receiver room, he could be a nice depth piece with high upside.
