2021 NFL Draft: 7-round Las Vegas Raiders mock draft brings major haul
With the 200th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select Simi Fehoko out of Stanford University. Fehoko has been rocketing up the draft boards so it would be a miracle if he lasted this long but he does in this mock and the Raiders would be lucky to snatch him up this late.
Fehoko is an older prospect who spent two years on a religious mission before playing football at Stanford. After a redshirt season, Fehoko had a solid second year as a reserve wideout with 24 catches for 566 yards and 6 touchdowns and set the Stanford record for yards per reception with 23.6. His junior season in 2020 was when he broke out with 37 catches for 574 yards and 3 touchdowns in just 6 games.
He earned First Team All-Pac 12 honors for his play and would have been on pace for more than a 1,000 yards in a standard 12 game season for the Cardinal. What makes Fehoko an intriguing prospect is not his production but rather his physical tools and measurables.
Fehoko measures in at 6-3, 222lbs and ran a 4.43 40 at his pro day along with a 34.5 inch vertical jump. He is an elite athlete at his size and can run like the wind, all things that the Raiders have prized over the years at the receiver position.
The Raiders may see a little bit of Andre Holmes who was undrafted out of Hillsdale but was a solid deep threat and red zone weapon due to his size and speed. If the Raiders are able to add his skillset to the receiving corps it would be a great addition and could provide Derek Carr with even more options on the outside. Fehoko can also contribute immediately on special teams which would make his selection in the 6th round even more of a steal.
