2021 NFL Draft: 4 Players the Las Vegas Raiders could reach for at No. 17

Jevon Holland, S, Oregon

Jevon Holland is my top choice for a player I could see the Raiders reaching for. Mayock has made arguments that both tackle and safety are not the main points of concern for the Raiders, but I imagine that is just a smokescreen.

The only safety in the draft that is looked at as a first-round caliber player is Trevon Moehrig from TCU, as just about everyone has him as the top safety in the draft. Although it is unlikely, if Moehrig goes before the Raiders select, and they want a safety, they may have no problem reaching for Holland if he is their second-rated safety in the class.

If Moehrig is available at 17, which he should be, I could 100% see the Raiders taking him, but the Raiders usually do not have the same rankings as most teams, considering they rated Clelin Ferrell, Henry Ruggs, and Damon Arnette higher than just about anyone else at their position. Taking Holland here would not surprise me, although the NFL world would be shocked.
