2021 NFL Draft: 4 Players the Las Vegas Raiders could reach for at No. 17

Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky

While several mock drafts have Jamin Davis going in the first round, I personally do not see it happening unless a team like the Raiders reaches. Davis has only started 11 games in his college career, and although he played well, there are multiple linebackers that I would rather take at this spot.

Davis is projected to be a late first-round to an early second-round pick, so although this is not considered a massive reach to everyone reading mock drafts, I believe it would be a pick that Raiders fans roll their eyes over. In the first round, the pick in terms of linebacker has to be either Micah Parsons, or Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, a player I feel fits Bradley’s scheme better.

With that being said, there were multiple cornerbacks last year that I would have taken over Damon Arnette, so if Mayock and Gruden like this player, they are going to take their guy no matter what anyone says. Davis is a talented player, and will be solid at the next level, but his value is just not at No. 17.
