2021 NFL Draft: 4 Players the Las Vegas Raiders could reach for at No. 17

Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri

Out of all of these picks, Nick Bolton is by far my least likely, as just about nobody is projecting him to go in the first round, but the same went for Damon Arnette last year so it is possible. Although Bolton would be a player I would love to see the Raiders go after in the second round, I would be extremely disappointed if this reach occurred in the first.

Although a bit undersized, Bolton is a speedy linebacker that can stop the run and likely would fit what Gus Bradley is trying to build, which is what would scare me about the Raiders falling in love with a player like him. Again, this piece is not about saying a player would not be a good fit, just a bad fit as a reach at No. 17.

Just because you love how a player plays and think he would make an impact on your team does not mean you need to select him right away no matter what, but it does not seem like Mayock and Gruden have figured this out, so although this selection is extremely unlikely, so were Ferrell and Arnette.
