2021 NFL Draft: 3 Bold predictions for the Las Vegas Raiders on Day 2

No. 3: Raiders trade up from 48

As we said before, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 48 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, a spot that could net them a very good player based on how the first round played out. Towards the end of the first round, there were a ton of shocking picks, and some big-time prospects are still available for the taking.

That brings a big question for the Silver and Black, as they have the assets to move up a bit in the second round if they have someone on their board they covet. Having a second third-round pick will give them the draft capital to possibly move up into the 30s, netting them a player who can help them right away.

Staying put at No. 48 is also fine, but you never know who the Raiders have on their board, and what they are willing to do to get it. They also hold an extra fifth-round pick on Saturday afternoon, so if the wheels get moving inside the Raiders draft room, do not be surprised if they trade up for a player they really like.
