2021 NFL Draft: Top-5 targets for the Las Vegas Raiders on Day 2

Quinn Meinerz, OL, Wisconsin-Whitewater

So, this pick is very much of a project pick. Quinn Meinerz isn’t the most sensational athlete on the field, or on the offensive line for that matter, but he has shown tremendous strength that allows him to punish opposing defensive linemen. Meinerz’s balance hasn’t been the best either, as he has the tendency to get tripped up during a play.

Meinerz actually has surprisingly good movement and speed that allows him to do well in pulling situations. This speed, paired with his power, makes him a solid fit for the Gruden and Josh Jacobs rushing attack.

Also, giving Meinerz time to grow and learn under the veteran leadership of Tom Cable and Richie Incognito will pay dividends once Incognito’s time in the league comes to a close. The Raiders may have reached on an offensive lineman in the first round, but Meinerz is a player who could be very good for this franchise for a very long time.
