Las Vegas Raiders: Top free agency targets post-2021 NFL Draft

Richard Sherman, CB

Ever since Jon Gruden spoke with Richard Sherman on the Chris Collingsworth Show, Las Vegas fans have been clamoring for Gruden to sign Sherman. Now that the draft is over, Las Vegas can finally evaluate whether it makes sense to add him to the roster.

The right move would be to do so, as it makes a ton of sense for both sides.

By joining the defense in Vegas, Sherman would be able to prove that he is still a talented player after struggling in San Francisco. He would also be paired up with Gus Bradley again, who was the defensive coordinator Seattle before getting a head coaching job in Jacksonville. Vegas and Bradley, in return, would get a solid corner that knows the system and can coach up the young defensive backs.

Most importantly, Sherman is a veteran presence that radiates alpha dog energy, which is exactly what the young and unproven Las Vegas defense needs to play with the ferocity and attitude needed to succeed in the NFL.
