CBS Sports (Ryan Wilson) – #9 Kedon Slovis, USC

Oh, look, it’s a quarterback. Yes, CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson has the Raiders looking for a change at quarterback with the number nine pick in the draft.

"“The Raiders need a lot of things — and maybe the ’21 draft class will solve some of those issues — but it’s only a matter of time before Jon Gruden succumbs to the allure of a new QB.”"

Honestly, if the Raiders find themselves in the top ten, there will have to be a serious conversation regarding the quarterback position. Derek Carr is entering his eighth season as the starter for the Raiders, and has yet to even play in a playoff game due to a number of issues.

If the Raiders falter again, then Carr will definitely be on the hot seat, and that means a change could be on the horizon.

In two seasons as the starting QB at USC, Kedon Slovis has thrown for 5423 yards and 47 touchdowns in 18 games. He doesn’t appear to have a rocket arm, but he is accurate at all three levels and can extend plays outside the pocket.

I know many fans are tired of seeing these mocks that replace Derek Carr, but things will change if the Raiders find themselves in this position.
