Las Vegas Raiders roster ranked in bottom-10 of NFL

ESPN’s Mike Clay recently ranked all the roster in the NFL after the 2021 NFL Draft, and the Las Vegas Raiders were listed in the bottom-10.
The Las Vegas Raiders went into this offseason with issues on both sides of the ball. To make matters worse, they completely revamped their offensive line, a group of players that was seen as more of a strength than a question mark.
After a free agency period that saw them bring in Yannick Ngakoue early on, and a 2021 NFL Draft that filled a bunch of voids, you would think the Raiders would be in better shape in terms of the roster. Instead, the roster is seen as one of the worst in the league, which is pretty surprising when you consider the talent that was lost and the talent that was brought in.
Raiders roster getting no love
ESPN’s Mike Clay recently ranked all of the rosters in the NFL after the 2021 NFL Draft, and needless to say, the Raiders were shown no love. Since the offseason began, the Raiders have not gotten a ton of solid publicity, between not making too many big moves in free agency, and then supposedly missing in the draft.
In the first round, they took Alex Leatherwood, who was seen as a bit of a reach. Still, they capitalized by bolstering the defense with their next five selections, before bringing in some more depth at center in the seventh.
Overall, I actually like this roster as opposed to last season, and while I will certainly miss Rodney Hudson as the anchor of the offensive line, the team has done enough to put another solid unit around a new anchor, Kolton Miller.
Las Vegas has a tough schedule next season, and there are still plenty of question marks on defense. Bringing in Casey Hayward at cornerback will certainly help, and the offense has some outstanding weapons in Derek Carr, Darren Waller, and Josh Jacobs, so hopefully, the front office has done enough for this team to finally make the playoffs this upcoming season.
