Specialists: Daniel Carlson, AJ Cole, Trent Sieg

The Raiders are bringing back their specialist trio from 2020 after bringing back Daniel Carlson on a one-year deal worth $3.3 million. Carlson was nearly automatic last season as he went 33-35 on field goal attempts with his only misses coming in the 40–49-yard range.

One of those misses was in absurdly windy conditions in Cleveland so he essentially missed just one kick that wasn’t impacted by freak weather. He was also 45-47 on extra points with one of his misses proving fatal against the Miami Dolphins in Week 16. Still, he had an incredible season and clearly enjoyed kicking in the friendly confines of Allegiant Stadium as he was perfect on field goal attempts at home.

AJ Cole also had himself a good second season as he had no punts blocked and had a 44.1 yard per punt average. The Raiders were near the bottom of the NFL in punts last season, so he did not have much to do but was a model of consistency.

The Raiders love to keep good long snappers around and they locked down Trent Sieg to a three-year deal worth $3.4 million after the 2020 season. The UDFA out of Colorado State is another model of consistency for the Raiders and gives Jon Gruden one less thing to worry about every week.
