The Las Vegas Raiders spent big money on Kenyan Drake this offseason, which could mean Jalen Richard is on his way out.

The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the elite running backs in all of football, as Josh Jacobs has come into the NFL and dominated the past two seasons. With one Pro Bowl already, and two 1,000-yard seasons in a row, Jacobs is the kind of three-down back that can help this franchise become perennial playoff contenders.

However, he has taken a beating over the last two seasons, missing games, and putting some miles on his body. The Raiders have tried to address that with the likes of Devontae Booker and Jalen Richard, one who is gone, and another who could be out the door.

Richard removed all Raiders references from his social media

Richard recently removed the Raiders from his social media platforms, and while that could be nothing, it could also be an indicator that he is about to be cut by the team. For the past five seasons, Richard has carved out a nice role in the Raiders offense, but he saw his production dip significantly in 2020.

In addition, the Silver and Black spent some big money on Kenyan Drake this offseason, a player who is a solid pass-catcher as well. He is being paid too much money to not be the No. 2 back on this roster, which could leave Richard as the odd man out in Las Vegas this upcoming season.

The combination of Jacobs and Drake has the potential to be one of the best running back duos in football this upcoming season, as they both can make plays happen in both the run and passing attack.

While the Raiders did not bring in a running back during the 2021 NFL Draft, they did add one as an undrafted free agent in Trey Ragas from Louisville. The Silver and Black seem set at running back, and with Richard erasing them from social media, that could spell the end of his time with the team.
