Las Vegas Raiders: Derek Carr to zero in on another No. 15

Nelson Agholor in 2020

Jump forward to 2020, and Carr found his dependable, veteran receiver in the unlikely hero Nelson Agholor, who had decided to don the number 15 during his one-year tenure. In Silver and Black, Agholor had the best season of his career, as he managed to rack up 896 yards, eight touchdowns, and an average of 18.7 yards per reception.

Agholor also showed his ability to perform in the clutch, like in Week 16, where he earned 155 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. The production of Agholor was thanks to the chemistry and trust established between him and Carr, as he became one of the most dependable weapons for Carr outside of Darren Waller.

During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Raiders selected Henry Ruggs III, and he was supposed to be the down-field threat that Agholor ended up being. Hopefully, John Brown does not have to shoulder the kind of load that Agholor did last season, and second-year wideouts like Ruggs and Bryan Edwards step up in Year 2.
